Chicago House Labels

As you can probably tell from the focus of my recent features, I’ve been doing a lot of research into the history of underground dance music in the Midwest. I have yet to find a discography specifically listing Chicago-based house labels. Here is my attempt to fill the gap.

The labels below were founded from 1984 to 1992. The original owner is listed, as is the first release date (per Discogs, so don’t take this as gospel). Text size represents number of releases.

I would love to receive additions and corrections. Also, if anyone associated with these labels is willing to do an interview for Gridface, please contact me.
