This CD collection of two previously released 12″s (cryptically credited “Kadah Vresky Presents Tomato Weirdo”) is a great mix of downtempo and upbeat. From the mesmerizingly melodic combo of “La Salle de Bain,” “Living” 2 through 0, and “Cookroom”—all of which are jazzy, hip-hop inspired pieces—to the gritty, sample-filled tracks that follow, this is delicious music. It’s another Spring release I can confidently add to my list for the best of ’03.
