Ko-wreck Technique is World DMC Champion DJ Craze with Push Button Objects. That means the Ko-wrecktion EP consists of hard, textured beats and frenzied scratching. Familiar samples and a catchy tune make “I Understand You” my favorite cut on this release. Rolling bass and melodic breaks balance the nervous scratches of DJ Craze on “Metro Dade.” Rounding out the collab. is “Behavior,” with Gang Starr samples, video game bleeps, and noisy synth squelches. Did I mention there’s a smooth remix by Plaid and a scattered one by Four Track too? This is yet another essential release from Chocolate Industries.
