Deadbeat: Wild Life Documentaries

I usually like ~scape’s dub output, but this LP’s a disappointment. There’s something soulless about these tracks. Perhaps they’re a bit too perfect-sounding. I miss the white noise and glitches typical of modern European dub. A couple of the basslines are nice, but the synth swirls and syncopated reverb sound repetitive and textureless. Unfortunately “Deadbeat” is far too descriptive a monicker.
